crDroid 13 BETA source is now pushed

We are happy to announce that the crDroid 13 BETA source has now been pushed, marking another important step toward bringing the next major version of crDroid to supported devices.

Based on Android 17, crDroid 13 continues our work of bringing the latest Android platform together with the features, customization and stability that the project is known for.

With the BETA source now available, device planning is underway to determine which devices will receive test builds.

The initial builds will be focused on testing, debugging and stabilization. Not every device will receive a test build immediately and availability will depend on device support, maintainer availability and the state of the required device trees and dependencies.

Testing and feedback

As test builds become available, feedback from the community will be important.

If you are testing crDroid 13 on your device, please report issues and share your experience with us in the community:

When reporting an issue, please include as much relevant information as possible, such as the device model, build version, steps to reproduce the problem and logs where applicable. This will help maintainers identify and resolve issues more efficiently.

Android 17

The main focus of crDroid 13 is bringing Android 17 support to devices while continuing to provide the crDroid experience our users expect.

This is still a BETA stage, so some features may not be fully implemented and issues are expected during the early testing period. Stabilization and device-specific work will continue as testing progresses.

Final words

Pushing the crDroid 13 BETA source is an important milestone, but there is still plenty of work ahead.

Device planning and test builds are the next steps and community feedback will be an essential part of getting crDroid 13 ready for a wider release.

Thank you to everyone contributing code, maintaining devices, testing builds and reporting issues.

We look forward to bringing Android 17 to more devices with crDroid 13.
